DIY Matching Game

Here’s a fun and easy DIY matching game from our friends at Child Life On Call. This simple activity gets your child working on fine motor skills, memory, and recognition, and it helps normalize medical supplies too!

All you need is paper, a marker, & some bandages!

Instructions:

  1. Draw your patient. In the video we chose to do an outline, but be as creative as you want! You can have your child decorate the patient, pick a favorite character, etc--there is no right or wrong here.
  2. Label your supplies. We chose to use numbers--we wrote the numbers 1-10 on the patient and on 10 bandages.
  3. Get matching!

There are so many ways to adapt this activity, too! Try using capital and lowercase letters, matching colored bandages to their spelling, and so much more. Comment with your matching idea below and please tag us if you try this activity!
